Child safety standards
Krak Multiplayer is a place to play Minecraft together, and many of our players are young. We do not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. These standards say what is forbidden, how to report it, what we do about it and who is responsible. They apply to the Krak Multiplayer apps, the website krak-mp.cc and every part of Krak: nicknames, profiles, worlds, chats, posts, comments, communities and reviews. They add to our Community rules, which everyone who uses Krak Multiplayer accepts.
What is forbidden
Krak Multiplayer allows no sexual content of any kind. Anything that sexually abuses or exploits a child is the most serious violation there is. This includes:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any picture, video, drawing, text or other content that shows or describes a minor in a sexual way, including content made or changed with AI;
- grooming: winning a child's trust in order to abuse or exploit them sexually, online or offline;
- asking a minor for sexual pictures, videos, messages or a meeting, and sending sexual content to a minor;
- sextortion: threatening to share someone's intimate pictures, or to hurt them, to get more pictures, money or anything else;
- sexualising minors in any way, and any part in the trafficking or sexual exploitation of children;
- sharing such content, links to it or ways to find it.
How we protect younger players
- Krak Multiplayer is for people aged 13 and older. Everyone confirms their age when they sign up, and we delete the accounts of children under 13 that we learn about.
- Everyone starts with direct messages from friends only. If an account's birth year says the player is under 16, players who are not their friends cannot message them, and this cannot be changed.
- Players never see each other's IP addresses. Our rules forbid sharing anyone's personal data and asking other players, especially younger ones, to move to private chats elsewhere or to send photos.
- Public pictures (profile pictures, banners, posts, world and community pictures) are checked automatically. Pictures that look sexual are refused, or hidden until a moderator has looked at them.
- Pictures and videos in chats are deleted from our servers 7 days after sending.
- Anyone can be blocked: a blocked player cannot message you or join your worlds.
How to report
In the app: tap Report on the profile, message, world, post, comment, community or review and choose "A child may be in danger". These reports go to the front of our moderators' queue. Then block the person.
By email: write to support@krak-mp.cc with the subject "Child safety". Say who it is about (nickname and friend code, or a link to the world, post or community) and what happened. You do not need a Krak account to write to us, so parents, guardians and teachers can report too.
Never save, screenshot or forward sexual pictures of a child, not even to send them to us. Report the message or post itself: the report keeps a copy for our team.
If a child is in immediate danger, call the police or your local emergency number first (112 in Ukraine and the European Union). You can also report child sexual abuse material to the CyberTipline of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (report.cybertip.org) or to the police in your country.
What we do
When we learn of child sexual abuse or exploitation on Krak Multiplayer, from a report, from our own checks or from anyone else:
- We deal with it before anything else.
- We remove the content at once. We keep a copy only as evidence for the authorities, for as long as they or the law require, and only the people handling the case can see it.
- We ban the account permanently, without the usual reminders and warnings, and we may also ban the device and the network it came from, so that a new account cannot get around the ban.
- We report child sexual abuse material and the exploitation of children to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the police of the country concerned (in Ukraine, the Cyberpolice of the National Police), and we give them the information they lawfully ask for.
- When a child is in immediate danger, we contact the police straight away.
Our automatic moderation can act on some reports at once, for example by hiding a post. A person on our team reviews every report about the safety of a child, and bans are always decided by a person.
Our child safety contact
Krak Multiplayer has a designated child safety contact: the person on our team responsible for these standards. They handle reports about the safety of children, work with the police and other authorities, answer app stores such as Google Play about how we prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation, and make sure these standards are followed and kept up to date. Write to support@krak-mp.cc with the subject "Child safety". Messages about the safety of a child are read first.
Following the law
We comply with the child safety laws that apply to Krak Multiplayer, including the law of Ukraine, where it is run, and the laws of the countries where it is available. We report child sexual abuse material as described above, keep evidence as the law requires and cooperate with lawful requests from the police and the courts. We also follow the child safety requirements of the app stores that offer Krak Multiplayer, such as Google Play.
If something feels wrong
If someone asks you for photos, wants to move your chat to another app, offers you coins or gifts for something that feels wrong, or threatens you: stop answering, report and block them, and tell an adult you trust. It is never your fault, and you will not get in trouble for reporting. In Ukraine and many European countries you can also call the free child helpline 116 111.
Changes
We review these standards when Krak Multiplayer, our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: support@krak-mp.cc.
